Ocean’s Twelve (2004) – Review

Picking up three years after the events of Ocean’s Eleven, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) gathers his gang of fellow thieves and con artists to plan and execute another heist, this time based in Europe, in a desperate attempt to repay Terry (Danny Garcia) the money in which the group had previously stolen. A solid heist movie but somewhat different to its predecessor. It’s worth noting that Ocean’s Twelve is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Ocean’s Eleven (2001) – Review

With an elaborate scheme to strike it rich etched in his mind, slick con artist Danny Ocean (George Clooney), contacts his old friend, Rusty (Brad Pitt) the day he gets out of prison, in hope of assembling a team of specialists to rinse the impenetrable vault of three Las Vegas casinos, all owned by Terry Benedict (Danny Garcia). The prize would ultimately be one-hundred and fifty million dollars. An old-school heist movie that spawned two sequels. It’s worth noting that Ocean’s Eleven is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The Little Things (2021) – Review

Joe Deacon (Denzel Washington) is a Kern County Deputy Sheriff that has been ordered down to Los Angeles, California, for what should be a quick evidence gathering exercise. Unfortunately for him, he quickly becomes embroiled in the search of a serial killer with Jim Baxter (Rami Malek), the detective in charge of the entire operation that proves to have multiple layers. An effective and potent crime thriller with numerous twists and turns. It’s worth noting that The Little Things is currently streaming on Netflix.

Reptile (2023) – Review

Hardened New England detective, Tom Nichols (Benicio Del Toro), begins to work a murder case in a quiet American town. Their victim is Summer Elswick (Matilda Lutz), with her boyfriend Will Grady (Justin Timberlake) and her former husband being two of the primary suspects. As the detective digs deeper, however, things become far more complex than he’d ever imagined. A slow detective-based drama that is certainly worthy of watch. Reptile is currently streaming on Netflix.

The Duel (2016) – Review

After witnessing the death of his father in a gruesome knife duel twenty years previous, David Kingston (Liam Hemsworth), who is now a Texas Ranger, is tasked by his commandant to investigate a series of unexplained murders in a small town on the American and Mexican border. The man responsible is thought to be Abraham (Woody Harrelson), the leader of the town. An interesting western that supplied more than enough intrigue and suspense throughout. The Duel is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Bones and All (2022) – Review

Maren (Taylor Russell) is a young woman learning how to survive on her own, while discovering things about herself that very few people can understand. When she meets Lee (Timothee Chalamet), they join forces and embark on a road trip across America. Despite their best efforts, all the roads taken ultimately lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand that will determine whether love can survive their oddities.
