Fury (2014) – Review

In April of 1945 during the latter stages of World War 2, a battle-hardened army veteran named Don Collier (Brad Pitt) spearheads a five-man tank crew on a dangerous and potentially deadly mission, far behind enemy lines, fighting the German army head on. Greatly outnumbered and massively outgunned, the five men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to defend themselves against the enemy. A dark and at times unsettling war flick featuring an all-star cast. It’s worth noting that Fury is currently streaming on Netflix.

The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) – Review

In Nazi occupied Netherlands, a young girl known as Anne Frank (Millie Perkins), must hide in the attic of a condiment factory with her parents, sister, and another small family, along with an old dentist, who all must live in fear that they are not heard or seen for the duration of their stay. The tale chronicles the Nazi threat they had to live with as well and family dynamics that ensued. An at times frightening, overwhelming and touching movie that is more than worth a watch.
