Father of the Year (2018) – Review

David Spade stars as a deadbeat father, whose son comes home to visit before embarking on his dream job in New York. Relationships are strained, futures potentially destroyed and there’s a lot of crash landings, but at least there’s a happy ending in typical cliché movie fashion. El Camino (2019) – Review

Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) does a splendid job when returning in the well anticipated Breaking Bad movie. Reprising his role as Albuquerque’s favourite drug dealer, the now scarred and shaven headed fugitive faces the daunting task of starting fresh and escaping his demons, while being chased by the authorities and perhaps more dangerously, his past. An enjoyable and fitting tribute to the Jessie Pinkman character that is now streaming on Netflix.

White Boy Rick (2018) – Review

An incredible true story of Richard Wershe Jr, the teenage gangster that became infamous for ultimately being sentenced to life in prison during the 1980’s, after getting engulfed in drug-trafficking. Richie Merritt, puts in a superb acting debut as Richard Wershe Jr – indicating that this will most definitely not be the last we’ll see of the young actor.

Edge of Fear (2018) – Review

A group of home invaders, spearheaded by Jack Pryor (Robert Patrick), end up in the middle of nowhere, tormenting and attempting to murder a married Chinese couple and their friend. An absolute must for any old-school Prison Break fan as Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, Amaury Nolasco and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe all re-unite for the low budget, 2018 release, Edge of Fear. If however, you were watching this after spotting it randomly on Netflix and expecting something rather special – you’ll be left bitterly disappointed.
