Hustle (2022) – Review

A highly respected basketball scout, Stanley Sugerman (Adam Sandler) discovers an unknown street player while scouting in Spain, beginning a long, difficult, yet personal journey to groom the prospect for the dizzy heights of the NBA, as he believes he has the talent required to succeed. A well-written and well-acted drama that isn’t just a movie for basketball or sport fans in general. It’s worth noting that Hustle is currently streaming on Netflix.

Hubie Halloween (2020) – Review

Hubie Dubois (Adam Sandler) is a man that’s mocked heavily by children and adults alike, mainly for his devotion to the Halloween holiday period, in his hometown of Salem. This year however, something is a little different and it’s up to him to save the people in his town from unexpected danger. Not the worst way to spend an evening if you’re planning on watching Netflix’s newest comedy release.

Murder Mystery 1 (2019) – Review

Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) is a New York cop that takes his wife Audrey Spitz (Jennifer Aniston) on a long awaited European trip in an attempt to reinvigorate their relatively stale marriage. Instead, however, the pair end up tangled in the middle of a murder case after witnessing the death of an elderly billionaire. A solid Adam Sandler comedy flick that contains two or three genuine laugh out loud moments, but probably isn’t something you’ll be watching again anytime soon.

Uncut Gems (2019) – Review

A movie centered around Howie Ratner (Adam Sandler), a fascinating New York City jeweler, who’s struggling to cope with a crippling gambling addiction as well as the breakup of his family. Howie, however, seems to have hit the jackpot after sourcing a rare uncut rock of Ethiopian gems, but he continues to push his luck and ultimately pays the price for actions. A marmite movie for some, that perhaps got a little too much hype for its own good before being officially released to audiences. Uncut Gems is currently streaming on Netflix.
